My daughter, Christina Nichole, wrote the following poems shortly after waking up from her ‘declared brain dead’ coma in August 2004. “My Heart” was a special present for me for Christmas 2004. “To Raise A Child” was her present to me on Mother’s Day, 2005. When you read these poems I hope you can somehow relate to my feelings about them. In July 2004 the doctors were determined that she was gone… brain dead… and should be removed from life support. They hoped to harvest her organs and other parts. How could anyone be declared brain dead and write these poems so soon after? How can any doctors be that wrong? What if I had believed them? – Judy

I Loved your poems my loving friend (sister) I too write poems and think it a gift to be able to share such deep feelings and express our love, feelings, and true self through the written word. I honor you (namaste’) for expression and sharing who you are with us. I love you <3
After awhile you must get sick of the attention from your amazing story- but I could not hold back. Reading your story is meerly jaw-dropping and amazing… I never want to see a movie about this because they could not protray the realism in the situation, nor the Godly presence that surrounded you during that time. I wanted to congradulate you- but “congrats” isn’t a powerful enough word to describe how truely happy I am to see your pictures of you now.. how capturing it is to see an idol of mine be born before my eyes. So I just wanted to say that I will be watching your progress and checking up on you as time goes by…. but if you do need any help handling rough police men or anyone else harrasing you- please let me know and they will be dealt with accordingly.
Thank you for sharing your story!(and god bless your mother as well)
